The plenary session of the international conference on “Environmental Impact of Military Conflicts”, held at the Grand Hotel Europe, continued with thematic presentations.

The sessions addressed various issues, including the impact of landmines, illegal mining activities, and the future development of environmental awareness at a scientific level.

Nizami Mammadov, Professor of the Russian Presidential Academy, Doctor of Philosophy, delivered a speech on the topic "The coexistence of military and environmental activities as a paradoxical attribute of modernity". In his presentation, he analyzed from philosophical and methodological perspectives how military strategies intersect with environmental considerations in the modern era. The report also addressed topical issues such as the formation of the concept of ecological civilization and the joint assessment of war and environmental responsibility.

Next, Famil Humbatov from the Institute of Radiation Problems delivered a presentation on the topic "Impact of illegal mining activities on the environment during the occupation in the Eastern Zangezur region." His report provided a scientific analysis of ecological violations, including damage to soil structure and water resources, caused by uncontrolled mining operations during the occupation.

It should be noted that a question-and-answer session was held during the plenary session, where participants exchanged views on the presented reports and offered suggestions for integrating scientific and practical approaches.
